My Goals As a Learner
My main goal as a learning freshman in high school is to get good grades. I think that this is a goal for many people in high school and I am determined to achieve it. Good grades for me is all A’s and B’s. I can achieve this goal by focusing in class and on all of my work. This also means doing high quality work. To measure my progression I will check in with teachers and go on powerschool once a week or more. I also have monthly grade check in my advisory. This is something that I will be able to achieve if I work hard. These goals are also well within my powers. I will actually try to do this because I want to feel good about the work that I turn in. This plan will be executed immediately and will continue for as long as necessary. |
My Personal Goals
My personal goals for this year are to meet and befriend a lot of new people and to have a LOT of fun! I can make new friends by being kind and helpful to anyone and everyone. I can have fun by not getting stressed out over the little things. I will measure this by taking ten minutes out of a day each week to reflect and see how that week went. This is very achievable for me because I’ve done it for a long time. I will try to do this to reduce stress. I am currently doing this and I will try to make it stay that way. |
My Health and Fitness Goals
I will keep healthy by eating right and I will keep fit by doing activities such as dance, yoga, and skiing. I will measure my fitness by weighing myself regularly and trying to maintain a certain weight. This is an achievable goal for me because I’ve always been a very fit and athletic person. This goal is also very realistic because I have been and am currently involved in these activities. This plan is currently in action and will continue to be for (hopefully the rest of my life). |
My Cultural and Community Goals
I reach out to elders in the community but only occasionally, and I would like to start doing this more frequently. Modern technology fails to teach us how to gain useful knowledge without that modern technology. It also doesn’t give us the real hands-on experience that we should be receiving. You can talk to your elders on a regular basis to gain and give knowledge. You can also ask a lot of question that interest you that they might know a lot about. Presently, we post things like “selfies” and “hashtags” on Facebook, instagram and other social sites. These things are great, but we need to learn about the importance of being “old souls”. I am exited to learn and reach out to my elders in order to gain knowledge. |
