This graphic novel project was all about the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. This is a book that was written in the 1930’s and is pretty advanced for its time. It has a lot to with conformity and having your life set out for you in advance. There is also a lot of technology in this book including computers and machinery, but also being able to make the same type of children with assembly lines. The learning objective that I improved most in on this project was probably perspective. I have learned more about what a big issue conformity is and it opened up my mind about being different. Before this, I have not really done a lot of art. I just never found it that interesting and I was never skilled in it. However, throughout this project I have gotten the tools and help to really make these good quality drawings. For the next projects I would like to improve giving more and more helpful critiques to my peers. I think that I should do this because I think its really important to help other people to succeed in this class. Overall, I think that this project has really been a good experience for 9th grade humanities.
